Back on the road again…Mounts Bay Palm Sunday Procession 2022

The churches of Ludgvan, Marazion, Perranuthnoe and St Hilary closed all their Sunday morning services inside their Church buildings on Palm Sunday and hit the streets of their area, walking from St Hilary Church on an Easter Procession, stopping off at Goldsithney Chapel, Goldsithney’s St Piran’s Hall and Dynasty Chinese Restaurant before reaching Perranuthnoe Church, telling the story of Jesus’ passion and last days on earth at each stop.

Canon Nigel Marns, Rector of Mounts Bay Benefice said:

‘This is the first Procession we have held in our group of churches since 2015, seven years ago! After Covid, we wanted to show that we were still the people of God on the move and after being shut away for so long our churches are fully back in business now, active and alive and moving again!

By the time we reached Perranuthnoe it was great that we had gathered over a hundred people in this witnesss to God’s love and the Easter story’.
